Identify the computer programs that are installed on your computer
Open a pre-written document for previewing, editing and printing
Use Word processing software to create new documents, save and print your work.
Close down Applications and Windows correctly
Understand the structure of your computer’s hard drive and how to find saved documents on your computer
Understand your computer’s Desktop environment, settings and how to work with Icons
Gain confidence in working with dialog boxes and standard toolbars
Make shortcuts to programs on your computer appear on the Desktop environment
Make changes to Desktop settings (including screen resolution and colour quality), Screen Saver and Themes, etc
Use the Windows File Search facility to look for lost items on your computer.
Work through carefully designed exercises to consolidate your learning.
